Dr. Nadia Afzal
Doctor & Owner
Dr. Afzal’s journey from being a “traditional” dentist to a more “airway” centered dentist began when attending an Airway Symposium via the highly respected Dawson Academy several years back. Many of the issues being discussed for children who exhibit airway disorders/ sleep disordered breathing (such as lip tie, tongue ties, and sleep apnea) seem to shed light on many of the questions Dr. Afzal had regarding her own children’s health.
Since that first symposium, Dr. A has traveled and studied extensively- having obtained the statues of a “Breathe Ambassador” with the The Breathe Institute; a graduate of the Tongue-Tied Academy with Dr. Richard Baxter, fellow status with the American Laser Study Club, and a diplomate with the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine- first to achieve any of these recognitions in the Lehigh Valley.
Rachel Price
M.S., CCC-SLP
Rachel received her Bachelors of Health Science and Masters of Speech Language Pathology from Misericordia University. She has experience in outpatient and inpatient care in both pediatric and adult rehab settings, and early intervention. While she specializes in infant feeding and swallowing in addition to pediatric feeding disorders and dysphagia.
Rachel also enjoys working with receptive/expressive language, speech/articulation, social skills, and AAC. Rachel holds certifications in the Sequential Oral Sensory Feeding Approach (SOS Approach), Vital Stim, Beckman Oral Motor Protocol, and the SOFFI Method (Supporting Oral Feeding in Fragile Infants). Rachel is also a Breathe Ambassador through The Breathe Institute, having solid knowledge of tethered oral tissue.
Rachel believes that family-centered care and a collaborative team approach are essential for optimal outcomes. In her free time, Rachel enjoys being with family, traveling, reading, and trying new recipes!

Edith Cruz
Treatment Coordinator
Edith has worked with Dr. Afzal since 2008! Being fluent in both Spanish and English, Edith is the first smiling face a patient will see upon entering our office. Edith loves building relationships with our patients and helping them achieve the best patient care- she makes a difference in their lives by treating our patients as our top priority. Edith has experience in medical billing and has training with The Breathe Institute on tethered oral tissue.
Edith has lived in the Lehigh Valley since 2007 with her husband, son, and two fur babies. In her free time she enjoys movies ,cooking new recipes, and being with her family.
Kacy Loyko
Dental Assistant
Kacy has been part of Dr. Afzal’s team since 2017. She attended Lehigh Career and Technical Institute for Dental Assisting, as well as having advanced training with the Breathe Institute, Spencer Study Club, and American Laser Study Club. Any questions on oral appliances- Kacy is the person to ask!
Kacy resides in Whitehall with her husband and all of their several animals. She enjoy spending time doing all sorts of outdoor activities such as hiking and fishing- Kacy has also been a longtime volunteer with the Girl Scouts .
